CMR University, Bengaluru which was established in 2013 as a private university, has been steadily growing from strength to strength and is today ranked amongst the top HEIs in the world. The university’s design thinking and experiential learning pedagogies have been upheld highly by students and parents alike over the years.
CMR University (CMRU) offers industry-ready academic programmes in the fields of Architecture, Design, Education, Engineering & Technology, Economics & Commerce, Legal Studies, Management, Science Studies, and Social Sciences & Humanities. The curriculum is in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) of India, and offered through specialized Schools of Studies.
CMRU has established a state-of-the-art campus in Bengaluru equipped with all amenities that provide an intellectually stimulating learning environment.
At CMRU, students are intensively groomed to cultivate a problem-solving mind-set. The University has set up Makerspace for students of Architecture and Engineering programmes to achieve interdisciplinary mastery and thereby develop / innovate real- world projects. There are initiatives for students of the non-technical programmes as well. The Design Thinking pedagogy empowers students to be problem solvers who are capable of facing any challenges the moment they leave the portals of the institution.
Situated at 949 meters (3113 ft.) above the sea level, Bengaluru has a salubrious savannah type dry tropical climate throughout the year. Weathers could be described as frequent rains, cold winters & warmer summers. The climate is pleasant throughout the year. It is also nicknamed as “Garden City” & was also known as “Pensioner’s Paradise” for quite a while. The city has a lot of greenery with N number of gardens and parks and streets lined with trees. It is very soothing in what would have been a jungle of concrete which is even why Bengaluru can be considered to be one of the coolest cities of India metaphorically.
